Here is a reflection on myself this term, term 3.
CHARACTER: My stamina in learning is average I would say, because I feel like I have more stamina on things I enjoy, for instance, my reading stamina is long, but work on words is not as long because I like reading more. So I need to improve my stamina so they hopefully will soon be all level. My self regulation I believe is good. I pretty much always get my work in on time, if not earlier. I just need to keep working on getting everything in on time, and knowing when to do what. For Deeper Learning, I feel like I sometimes do that. It is something I’m working on, instead of just ‘scratching the surface’. With my Cause and Effect presentation, I have tried to dig deep, but I am not quite convinced I have digged very deep. Determination, I sometimes have. I always have it, but I feel like sometimes it doesn’t show. I am determined to do well in school, so I am now trying to push myself harder, and trying to choose the harder work.
WRITING – In my writing I haven’t really done a whole lot, because I have just been working on stories and class stuff. I have done a fractured fairytale with Asher, but we haven’t yet presented it. I have also entered Write4Fun, and I will be posting my entry soon.
MATHS – In maths we have been working on fractions, and I have been going well with that. We worked on adding and multiplying them, along with counting by fractions. A lot of stuff that I had forgotten has now came back, and I am feeling confident about them. I don’t know my On Demand score yet, but I am not as confident as usual, because I kept getting skipped and that made me stress a bit, making it hard to think.
READING – For reading nothing has really changed, I am still reading books, and pushing myself for harder ones too. I can’t wait to find out my On Demand score, but because my last score was high, I am a bit worried if I will go down because of a bit of a flukey score.
INQUIRY – For my inquiry I have just been working on my Cause and Effect presentation, and how do natural disasters effect people. I have posted my presentation.
OTHER – For other stuff I still am really trying to boost my confidence and participate more in class. I feel as if I have tried harder this term, but I still have a long way to go.
